Lillian Chauncey
BFA Graphic Design
As a designer, I challenge myself every day to create work with the goal of designing for a better future. By using the digital realm, I can provide a platform for various unheard voices on issues that society does not make a priority. My work allows me to gain the confidence I need as a designer and a human to give back and fight for those who are struggling. It is essential that my work helps heal those around me as it has healed me and help me grow.
I explore mediums such as painting, photography, illustration, and digital design. By working interdependently with these mediums, I can expand my messages to a broader audience. Significant research goes into my process when designing for my community to ensure that I connect with my audience personally and impactfully. Using clean lines, vibrant colors, and linear typography, I can open the floor for direct and necessary lines of communication.
By allowing myself and my work to change as the world around me does, I can continuously find new and impactful ways of connecting with people. The work I share with the world is an extension of my inner voice and gives me the courage to continue my design journey and explore the world around me with open arms.
