Scopophobia is a mixed media installation that explores themes of vulnerability and surveillance, creating an unsettling atmosphere through the projection of constantly moving, watching eyes. These projections, combined with sculptural forms, turn the viewers into the spectacle, forcing them to confront their vulnerability as they become the focal point of observation. The piece blends video editing with physical sculpture to create an immersive experience that blurs the line between the digital and the tangible. This installation uses eyes to symbolize the pervasive nature of surveillance and the constant, inescapable feeling of being watched, evoking anxiety and discomfort, evoking feelings of paranoia and discomfort. By making the viewers the object of scrutiny, Scopophobia critiques privacy, self-awareness, and the invasive impact of constant monitoring, prompting reflection on the boundaries between the public and the private.
