Velora Reef is a mixed-media installation that combines custom-cut wood panels painted in an Impressionist/Pointillist style with digital animation. The piece explores the fluidity and interconnectedness of the ocean through both static and moving visual elements. The painted panels represent the static beauty of nature, while the animated projections inside circular cut-outs highlight the ever-changing motion of the sea. The piece reflects the ways in which the natural world and digital environments can coexist, evoking a sense of unity and dynamic flow. By merging these mediums, Velora Reef invites viewers to experience the connectivity between physical and digital spaces, suggesting that the ocean, like our digital landscape, is constantly in motion, shifting, and interconnected.
