Psychology Minor, Expressive Arts Therapy Certificate

The unseen—emotions made tangible in clay. Through figurative statement pieces, I explore how we all feel, express, and provoke emotion in one another. My work draws from my BFA in ceramics, psychology minor, and expressive arts therapy certificate, merging creative expression with human connection.

I am drawn to clay’s connection to life, death, and memory. It holds the essence of countless lives returned to the earth. Clay remembers — not just cracks and stress, but every ounce of what and who it contains. Through my sculptures, I strive to give form to unseen stories and the emotions they carry.

My work celebrates imperfection, exaggerating features to highlight humanity’s raw beauty. I depict people as I see them — a little ugly, but honest. Our chub, wrinkles, and veins are marks of a life lived and should be celebrated. My sculptures embrace this truth, capturing the complex, unseen versions of ourselves. Emotions do not discriminate; they are a universal language. Through my work, I aim to express this shared human experience, giving form to the beauty in our flaws and the emotional imprints we leave on one another.
